Terms of Service
Transparency and clarity at every step of your adventure with SOLBOAT
When do these terms apply?
Our terms and conditions apply from the moment we send the booking confirmation. If you cancel your booking at that time, cancellation fees will be charged. You can make changes to your booking through our email [email protected]. We recommend that all our travelers have travel insurance.
The Client: Your rights and responsibilities
1. The Client
All purchases made on the website www.solboat.com expressly acknowledge that:
- You have carefully read and accept these Booking Terms and Conditions
- You agree to comply with all safety policies or guidelines that may be provided, some of which are included in these Booking Terms and Conditions.
The person making the booking (the "Holder" or the "lessee") must be over 18 years of age. Below we provide specific additional recommendations that we need you to read and follow depending on the boat you choose to book: The minimum number of people required to rent a boat is available in the description of each vessel; the number of passengers on board must not exceed the maximum number of authorized passengers for that boat model.
Booking Process: How to secure your adventure
2. Booking Process
- If you wish to make a booking, you can contact us in several ways: by phone directly or on our website www.solboat.com.
- A booking is made, and our terms and conditions apply in full, from the moment we send a booking confirmation.
- Regardless of whether you book alone or as a member of a group, we will deal exclusively with the holder for all post-booking correspondence including change notifications, such as those relating to changes, corrections or cancellations. The holder is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of personal or other information provided about any person traveling (in connection with the booking), as well as for forwarding to all travelers in that booking any information about the booking and any changes made to it, such as information about schedule changes or copies of booking confirmations.
SOLBOAT offers the option to include accessories in the booking.
Boat Descriptions: What you need to know
3. Boat Descriptions
Our boats do not require a license to operate; simply being of legal age, you can board with your friends and family for an unforgettable day at sea. If you have a nautical license, we also have boats for you. You can fish, sail, sunbathe, enjoy water sports, look for dolphins, and much more. The images included on the boat information page are for informational purposes and may vary due to differences in screens and systems that customers use to access the website. Please be informed that the booking will only be finalized based on availability and when you receive a Booking Confirmation.
Prices and Rates: Total transparency
4. Prices
- Current and exact prices can be found on our website https://www.solboat.com/embarcaciones/ in the description of each boat
- Extras not booked or paid for in advance may be cancelled on the day of the booking
Payment: Terms and conditions
5. Payment of your booking and deposit (optional)
- When making your booking, you must pay 50% in advance as a deposit. The remainder will be paid upon arrival.
- Once a booking has been confirmed, offers or discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
- All payments will be made by bank card
Deposit and Protection: Your security guaranteed
6. Full deposit or Partial waiver of accidental damage and reduced deposit
- All customers must leave a deposit upon arrival at the base on the day of departure.
- You will be liable for all damage and costs if it is determined that (i) your boat and/or equipment are returned damaged; and/or (ii) there are direct costs associated with an incident during your trip. In such cases, you will be charged up to the full value of your deposit.
- You remain liable for any third-party claims notified to us after departure. In such cases, we reserve the right to claim up to the full value of your deposit.
- If you or any crew member causes damage or loss to the boat, any equipment or third-party property, you will be liable for the full amount of the loss incurred and our right to claim against you will not be limited or prevented in any way by the payment of the Full Deposit or the Partial Deposit Waiver.
- On the day of departure at the base, a pre-authorization will be made on your credit card for the deposit. If the pre-authorization does not work, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, without a refund, and you will not be able to take possession of your boat.
- Pre-authorization means that the funds will not be charged to your account, only temporarily blocked. Therefore, we recommend that you ensure you have sufficient funds in your account for this pre-authorization to take place.
- You will be asked to sign a form before boarding confirming that you understand your obligations in the event of loss or damage to the boat, any contracted extras, or any third party.
- Upon your return to the base, at the end of the rental period and following inspection of the boat by our base staff, if no apparent damage has been found, our staff will proceed to cancel the deposit as soon as possible.
- If we determine that damage or loss has occurred, as detailed above, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the deposit. We may also charge a portion of the deposit to cover the costs of any damage to the vessel or any of its equipment, such as crane costs for a full hull inspection.
- In the event that the costs associated with the loss or damage are less than the deposit amount, we will refund the difference within a reasonable period once the repair costs have been determined. This may take up to six months or more, depending on the nature of the damage.
- If there is a disagreement about the loss or damage, we will retain the full deposit amount until an agreement is reached.
Cancellation and Modification: Flexibility when you need it
7. Cancellation and Modification
To cancel a booking, the Holder must notify the Company by email at [email protected]. Since we will incur expenses when canceling your trip, you will need to compensate us by paying cancellation fees. If you wish to change any aspect of your trip once we have issued the confirmation invoice, for example, the departure date (during the same sailing season), the destination or the chosen boat, we will do everything we can to make these changes, although it may not always be possible. Changes must be requested by email at [email protected]
If we cancel your booking: In the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, if you fail to pay the final balance, or for any other reason beyond our control, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
Code of Conduct: Respect and safety for all
8. Code of Conduct
- Your behavior, as well as that of your crew, must comply with the safety and conduct rules established by Us
- We reserve the right to refuse to accept you as a customer or to continue dealing with you if we, or any other authorized person, believe that your behavior is disruptive, causes unnecessary nuisance or is threatening or abusive, or that you cause material damage, disturb, annoy, disrupt, or endanger our staff members or agents or other customers at our facilities, whether by phone, in writing, or in person.
- If you are disruptive and prevented from boarding, we will consider your booking cancelled by you from that moment and you will be required to pay the cancellation fees in full (see article 5). We will not accept liability for any refund or compensation or for any costs or expenses you may incur.
